Tackle Exceeds $10 Billion in Total Revenue Processed Through Cloud Marketplaces

Tackle Estimates the Market Will Hit $100B in Throughput by 2026, Representing an Enormous Revenue Opportunity for Software Companies

Chicago, IL — Aug 15, 2024 — Tackle.io, the only end-to-end Cloud GTM Platform for faster, easier, data-informed selling through the clouds, today announced it has processed more than $10B in Cloud Marketplace transactions through its Platform, doubling since November.

Last year, we predicted that revenue flowing through the Cloud Marketplaces would increase radically to over $100B in 2026, more than 6x in just three years. As cloud spending forecasts continue to expand, this massive growth trajectory is transforming how software companies go to market, engage with their partner ecosystems, and how and where they engage with buyers.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though. According to Tackle’s upcoming 2024 State of Cloud GTM Report, ISVs’ top challenges when it comes to executing Cloud GTM initiatives include:

  • Engagement with Cloud Partner managers and/or field sellers (41%)
  • Integrating Marketplace and co-sell with our core systems and processes (39%)
  • Requires internal resources or bandwidth we don’t have (37%)

“We are deep in the era of go-to-market efficiency where many companies seek ways to drive revenue through avenues that don’t impact their balance sheet. Building partnerships, especially with the Cloud Providers, is a great way to meet buyers where they are and co-sell with highly impactful partners,” said John Jahnke, Tackle CEO.

Partners like Tackle exist to help ease or even eliminate these challenges. As ISVs journey along the stages of Cloud GTM Maturity, they require a partner who can help them succeed while keeping their unique needs in mind.

Tackle’s Cloud GTM Platform enables ISVs to unlock all the power that cloud partnerships can offer by managing the entire workflow from co-sell to selling through the Marketplaces and enabling internal adoption. Tackle’s transaction dataset is the foundation that underpins our AI suite of tools, which ISV teams use to inform better business decisions and grow revenue through the clouds. Tackle AI’s data-driven account planning and TAM/ICP analytical tools help revenue teams scope the market opportunity and build the right teams to take advantage of them. Tackle Prospect’s AI-powered functionality helps teams target the right buyers and score them based on their propensity to buy through each Cloud Provider. Tackle will continue to release new features powered by Tackle AI and our growing dataset to help ISV teams be more efficient across the entire GTM lifecycle.

In a recent case study, Scott Sumner, Director of Global Strategic Alliances at Wiz, noted, “We use all of Tackle’s tools in various combinations [to meet customer demand and maintain high velocity]. For instance, sellers can use Tackle Prospect to determine if a potential customer typically buys through the Marketplace. Tackle’s Co-Sell tool then helps us provide the relevant information to the Cloud Provider for closer engagement, and finally, the Salesforce integration means that we can do [Marketplace] offers through Salesforce.”

Additionally, this year, we launched our Cloud GTM Ecosystem, a network of leading technology companies, go-to-market services, solution providers, and channel partners that provide the ISV community with a selection of tried and tested organizations to help them build, launch, and scale their cloud business.
