We’ve observed an increase in demand over the past year from sellers that want to use AWS Marketplace’s private offer functionality. Private offers allow ISVs to pass their custom pricing and terms to each buyer.

Fueled by this momentum, Tackle is excited to announce the release of our Private Offer Acceleration feature for Downstream which allows ISVs to more closely align their selling system and process on AWS Marketplace.

We created this feature to make it even easier for sellers to sell their product on Marketplace and sell it FAST. With Private Offer Acceleration, sales leaders will love the ease at which they can send private offers, the ability to track the offer as it moves through the stages, and the granular visibility they will now see with each offer. Finance and operation leaders will celebrate how simple it is to create a quote or invoice and attach it to the private offer inside of Tackle. 4 Ways to Use Private Offer Acceleration to Simplify your Marketplace Selling

At Tackle, our team relies on Private Offer Acceleration because it’s user-friendly, there’s greater visibility for all stakeholders, and everything you need to reference is now in one place. Let’s look at four key ways we use this ourselves :

One single source of truth: We created an easy to understand dashboard to view the status of your private offers.

Here you can dig into details on each private offer that’s in motion. Not only does this dashboard give you information on the product, creation date and the current status of the offer in the acceptance process, but you’ll be able to identify where the gaps are and allocate resources appropriately.

Reduce disparate data: Once a private offer has been created in the cloud marketplace the offer can be created in the Tackle and associated with the corresponding Offer ID and metadata.

This provides the ability to drill into buyer details, notes, product, Offer ID, and custom metadata. The end goal: to align data from the marketplace with your sales process and ensure all internal teams, like sales and finance, are seeing that same data as the offer progresses through each stage

Track deals in real-time: It’s important to understand where your deal is at any point in the process. We’ve created a seamless workflow to help you keep track of all activity on any private offer with order tracking.

Here you’ll find details on the person, event, and the time when events happen. Say hello to a whole new world of tracking the full lifecycle of a private offer which includes: offer creation, association to Tackle, sending purchase instructions, buyer opening instructions, buyer viewing of the offer in the cloud marketplace, and buyer acceptance of the offer.

Collaborate internally and with cloud partners: With Private Offer Acceleration, ISVs can keep their internal and cloud partner teams in sync about the status of each offer.

Tackle allows all team members to receive email updates right to their inbox when a private offer status changes to eliminate any manual back and forth. In addition, cloud marketplace partner teams can be alerted with real-time notifications to private offers to reduce any confusion between the seller and partner Marketplace team.

Currently, Private Offer Acceleration is only available for AWS Marketplace. Azure Marketplace and Google Cloud Platform Marketplace will be coming soon!
